Supreme Court Dismisses Petition For Hybrid CBSE, CISCE Term 1 Board Exams

The Supreme Court of India has dismissed the Petition filed by six students for hybrid exams. On Thursday, the SC refused to make changes in the mode of scheduled term 1 board exams of CBSE and CISCE. The petitioners requested the Supreme Court in petition to direct the CBSE and CISCE boards to conduct exams in both modes - online and offline. However, the Bench of Supreme Court, Justice AM Khanwilkar and Justice CT Ravikumar refused the petition.
The CBSE term 1 exam has already started and intervening in it will alter the entire process. The SC bench said. They also alerted the petitioners against last-minute interference and said to don’t mess up with the education system. Let the board authorities do their job well, because it is too late now.
Furthermore, they stated that exam centers have been increased, and all the COVID SOPs are hopefully will be followed by the authorities to ensure safety of students and staff. So that they can not be exposed to unexpected situations.
The petitioners had argued that offline exams mode will put them at a higher risk of COVID infection.
