Tomorrow is the hearing on Class 12th State Board Exams Cancellation & decision on the assessment in Supreme Court

Tomorrow on Thursday June 17, 2021 the Supreme Court of India will hear the appeal of State Board Class 12th exam cancellation and the assessment of students. Along with this another plea is also for the physical examination of NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) ; this petition will also be heard tomorrow.
Also the Supreme Court has asked the University Grants Commission (UGC) to form a committee to prepare a uniform formula of assessment for the students whose board exam has been cancelled so that they can pursue non professional courses.

This petione is going to be heard by the Justices AM Khanwilkar and Dinesh Maheshwari tomorrow.
As per reports, the petition has been filed by Advocate Anubha Srivastava Sahai and seven others, on behalf of 47 students from 23 different states and two Union Territories and 3 different countries.
It is noted that this is the 3rd plea in supreme court related to the board exams cancellations. Earlier one petition was heard in the SC for the CBSE, ICSE Class 12th board Exam cancellation and another one was against it.
On 3rd June the bench headed by Justice AM Khanwilkar expressed satisfaction with the Central Government decision on the cancellation of Class 12th Examinations. This plea was in the Apex Court, and after the hearings the court directed the CBSE & CISCE to publish a statement with well-defined objective criteria for assessment of students in two weeks.
