CBSE officially declared the Class 10 Phase 1 Results 2026 on April 15. The overall pass percentage stands at 93.70% — a slight improvement over last year's 93.66%. Southern regions once again dominated the charts, with Trivandrum and Vijayawada topping the list.

Trivandrum and Vijayawada jointly topped the region-wise list with an impressive 99.79% pass rate each. Chennai followed closely at 99.58%, and Bengaluru recorded 98.91%. Delhi West and Delhi East recorded 97.45% and 97.33% respectively, featuring well within the top 10.

Southern Regions — 5 Years of Dominance

Southern regions have consistently led CBSE Class 10 results over the last five years. Trivandrum has remained the best-performing region every single year, maintaining near-perfect pass percentages consistently between 99.7% and 99.9%. Bengaluru and Chennai have also stayed among the top three, reflecting strong academic performance across CBSE-affiliated schools in these regions.

Last year, Trivandrum and Vijayawada jointly secured the top position with 99.79%, followed by Bengaluru at 98.90% and Chennai at 98.71%. Pune and Ajmer rounded out the top five in 2025.

Ajmer and Pune have consistently featured among the top five over the years, though their pass percentages have seen a gradual dip compared to the near-perfect scores recorded in 2021. Regions like Patna, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, and Panchkula have regularly appeared in the top 10, showing steady and consistent academic performance.

Girls have once again outperformed boys in 2026. Their pass percentage stands at 94.99%, which is 2.30 percentage points higher than boys at 92.69%. Boys showed a marginal improvement from 92.63% in 2025 to 92.69% in 2026. The transgender pass percentage, however, dropped significantly from 95.00% in 2025 to 87.50% in 2026.

Step 2: Click on "CBSE Class 10 Result 2026"

Step 3: Enter your Roll Number, School Number, Admit Card ID and Date of Birth

Step 4: Enter the Security Pin and click Submit

Step 5: Your result will appear on screen — download and print it

Not Satisfied With Your Marks?

Students who aren't happy with their scores can appear in the Phase 2 board exam scheduled for mid-May 2026. Students can improve their performance in up to 3 subjects. The LOC submission window for Phase 2 is open from April 16 to April 20, 2026, with a late fee window available until April 22, 2026.
