CBSE Class 12 Physics Re-Evaluation: Student Vedant Sees No Marks Change; Details Here

In any case, Vedant Srivastava, the student whose answer sheets were mistakenly exchanged during this year's CBSE post-results, has finally obtained his re-evaluation result. According to the student whose Physics answer book was replaced by another one, re-evaluation helped increase his marks by only two. Moreover, none of these two extra points was obtained because of his Physics paper.

"I am relieved that the results are finally out. I have requested re-evaluation for 11 questions; however, it turned out that only one extra mark has been given to me in Mathematics and Computer Science," Vedant posted in a video on X on Sunday. In addition, he noted that "in the case of the answer sheet exchange, there isn't a single mark increased."

“In the case of the answer sheet exchange, there isn’t a single mark increased. The marks that have increased are in maths where one mark has increased and one in computer science.”

In May, Vedant Srivastava drew attention to himself, accusing the Board of exchanging his Physics answer sheets in the course of post-result procedures. After the student's complaint, the issue was discussed all over India, as his classmates began to report similar problems related to the newly implemented OSM method.

Eventually, the Central Board of Secondary Education recognized the mistake and provided Vedant with the correct Physics script, which resulted in the increment of his score from 65 to 74 points. Nevertheless, some discrepancies were found by Vedant, and he asked for a re-evaluation of his answer sheets.

The problem of Vedant Srivastava became even more serious, as the student shared the images of his answer scripts on social media, where it was noticed that all the corrections were handwritten in red ink and not via the OSM system, which raised even more questions about Vedant's exam results.

However, no official comments on this matter from the Board were received. At present, after the re-evaluation is carried out, the case of Vedant is closed. Nevertheless, the controversy regarding the new OSM procedure is still alive, and there are students who complain about discrepancies in their checked answer sheets.
