CBSE Class 12 Result: Student's Marks Increase After Biology Re-Evaluation
After Ranchi's Avni Kejriwal obtained 500 out of 500 marks on re-evaluation, another CBSE Class 12 student has scaled new heights. Aditya Mishra is now one of the joint national toppers in the Science stream with his score in Biology improving by three marks during the re-evaluation process. In doing so, his best five subjects' scores have been improved to 498 out of 500.
"I wish to serve mankind as a doctor," said Aditya on Tuesday in retrospect to his success story from the initial scores to the re-evaluation.
When CBSE declared the results for Class 12 on May 13, Aditya scored 99.20 per cent in aggregate with 96 marks in Biology. However, Aditya's teachers thought that the score could be more and persuaded him to apply for re-evaluation. "The scores seemed low as per my teachers. As I was busy preparing for NEET exam, I did not pay too much attention to it," Aditya said. Thereafter, his parents and teachers submitted his papers for the re-checking procedure. Upon doing so, the re-evaluation helped him gain three marks in Biology. Now, his Biology score is 99.
Aditya obtained 100 marks in all subjects, namely English Core, Chemistry, and Painting. Further, he also obtained 99 marks each in Physics and Biology. Thus, he is sharing the honour of being the national topper with Sonakshi Goyal, a student from Kanpur.
Principal of DPS Bokaro, A S Gangwar, congratulated him saying, "We feel very proud about him and he has been a consistent and attentive student. Biology has always been his favourite subject and he has been preparing for NEET examination. When we noticed his marks in biology, we thought of challenging his paper for re-evaluation."
Aditya is the son of Prajesh Chandra Mishra, who is the chief general manager (finance) of SAIL Refractory Unit, and Sushmita Mishra, a homemaker. Further, he had also appeared for NEET-UG re-examination which was held on Sunday as the original one held in May was cancelled.
"I have appeared for the re-examination and am hoping for good results," said Aditya.
Aditya says that he studied for five-six hours daily with the help of his phone and laptop.
