CBSE Exam 2025: Class 10 Sports Paper with Second Board in May

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to conduct the Class 10 sports exam along with the second board exam in 2025.

This move was taken by the board keeping in mind students who participate in sports competitions and whose exams clash with sporting events.

According to this decision, students who participate in sports competitions will take their sports exam along with the second board exam in May 2026.

Conducting the Class 10 Sports Exam

CBSE has confirmed that the Class 10 sports exam will now be held along with the second board exam in May 2026. The first board exam will be held in February 2025. This change has been made keeping in mind the board exam dates so that sports students can participate in their exams and their academic careers are not disrupted.

LOC Filling Process

CBSE has clarified that it will be mandatory for all students participating in sports competitions to complete the LOC (List of Candidates). This step will ensure that students whose sports competitions coincide with board exam dates are allowed to appear for the second board exam. This process will ensure student registration and ensure that their exams are not affected by sporting events.

Examination Scheme for Sports Students

Students participating in sports competitions will be allowed to appear for the second exam in subjects whose exams coincide with sporting events or travel.

CBSE has also clarified that the board will not conduct separate sports exams after the first or second exams. This means that for students who appear for the second board exam and are placed in the compartment for any reason, the compartment exam will be held in February/March of the following year.

No Changes to the Class 12 Exam Scheme

There is no change to this year's Class 12 exam scheme. Exams for Class 12 students will be conducted as usual. However, for students who are unable to appear for their exams due to sports competitions or travel, a re-examination will be conducted after the first exam.
