What’s in the GATE 2024 Scorecard?
- The GATE 2024 scorecard will be available for download starting from March 23.
- It includes essential details such as:
- Registration number
- Gender
- Name of the test paper
- GATE score out of 1000
- GATE marks out of 100
- All-India rank
- Qualifying score for each paper
What Can You Do with Your GATE Score?
- Master’s Courses: You can apply for master’s programs at IITs and other technical institutes based on your GATE results.
- PSU Recruitment: Many Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) also consider GATE marks for recruitment.
How Is the GATE Score Calculated?
- The real (raw) marks obtained by a candidate are used to calculate the GATE 2024 score.
- For multi-session papers, raw marks from different sessions are converted to normalized marks.
- These normalized marks contribute to the final GATE score.
Previous Year’s Statistics:
- In the previous year, approximately one lakh out of 6.7 lakh candidates qualified for GATE 2023.
- In 2022, out of around 8 lakh students, 1.12 lakh passed the test.
