You can apply for GATE 2025 without a late fee until September 26. To register, visit the official website: gate2025.iitr.ac.in. The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee is organizing this year's GATE exam.

If you miss the September 26 deadline, you can still register until October 7, but you’ll need to pay a late fee. Just use the GOAPS portal to submit your application.

For GATE 2025, the registration fee is Rs 900 for female candidates, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD). All other applicants, including foreign nationals, will pay Rs 1,800.

What's New for GATE 2025?

This year, IIT Kanpur's Biological Sciences and Bioengineering department will accept students for MTech programs based on GATE scores. Also, the Nuclear Power Corporation of India (NPCIL) will use GATE 2025 results from certain test papers (CE, CH, EC, EE, IN, and ME) for recruitment.

GATE 2025 Exam Details

GATE 2025 will be held on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025. The exam will be computer-based and will cover 30 test papers. Each day has two sessions: the morning session from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and the afternoon session from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. You can choose to take up to two test papers.

The GATE exam is important for getting into postgraduate programs in engineering and related fields at IITs, Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs), Indian Institute of Science (IISc), and other institutions. Many Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) also use GATE scores for hiring.
