GATE Exam 2022 will be held this year as per the announced exam dates sheet. The IIT Kharagpur will conduct this examination this year in two slots. The first slot will begin from 9 AM and the second will be held between 2:30 pm and 5:30 pm, to get more details regarding GATE Exam dates refer to the GATE 2022 date sheet.
In order to sit for GATE 2022 Examination candidates are required the admit card, the admit card of GATE has been released on January 15, 2022 and candidates can now download them.
Exam Pattern of GATE 2022
GATE Exam is conducted every year through an online medium that is computer based. This examination is being held for admission to masters programmes and for recruitment to some public sector companies. It is held for 100 marks and the validity of the score is 3 years. According to the exam pattern, GATE 2022 will consist of Objective types of questions in which multiple choice questions (MCQs), multiple select questions (MSQs), and numerical answer type (NAT) questions will be present. For MCQs there are negative markings meaning for each wrong answer the marks will be deducted. However, there will be no negative marking for incorrect answers in MSQs or NATs.
GATE 2022 New Changes In Syllabus
Two new subjects have been added in GATE 2022 Syllabus, now the GATE Exam conducting body will ask the questions from the GE (Geomatics Engineering) and NM (Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering). Adding the new subjects into the GATE Exam a total number of GATE papers has become 29.
