IIT Delhi is expanding its horizons by launching undergraduate programs at its Abu Dhabi campus. Starting from the academic year 2024-25, the campus will offer two new undergraduate courses with an initial intake of 30 students each.
For admission, up to 10 seats in each discipline will be reserved for JEE Advanced qualifiers, while the remaining 20 seats will be filled through the merit list of the Combined Admission Entrance Test (CAET), a new exam tailored for UAE applicants.
Admission Process
The CAET exam, scheduled for June 23, 2024, will be held across multiple centers in the UAE. It's open to UAE residents, including nationals, expatriates, and international students. The registration portal will remain open until June 10, 2024, at admissions.abudhabi.iitd.ac.in/application/caet-2024.
Applicants qualifying in JEE Advanced 2024 can also apply through a separate portal, accessible after the JEE Advanced results are declared. Seat allocation for IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi will be done through this portal, not through JoSAA, for candidates from both JEE Advanced and CAET routes.
JEE Advanced qualifiers will only pay the fees applicable at the Delhi campus of IIT Delhi. Other fees will be waived, and students will receive a monthly stipend of AED 2000, double occupancy hostel accommodation with waived charges, subsidized food, and an annual travel allowance of AED 4000. Medical insurance and welfare needs will be catered to.
