What information will be included on the scorecard?
All these details will appear on your JEE Main 2026 scorecard —
- Student's Name and Roll Number
- Application Number
- Paper Appeared For and Session
- Subject-wise NTA Percentile Scores
- Total NTA Score
- All India Rank (AIR)
- Category Rank (where applicable)
- Qualifying Status for JEE Advanced 2026
How is the Final AIR Calculated?
JEE Main 2026 was conducted in two sessions. The Final All India Rank is not determined solely based on Session 2. The NTA considers the *best* NTA Score obtained across both sessions and uses that as the basis to compile the Final AIR.
If your performance in the January Session was better, that score will be counted. If the April Session yielded a better result, that score will be taken into account.
How to Qualify for JEE Advanced 2026?
To be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2026, you must rank among the top 2,50,000 successful candidates in the B.E./B.Tech. paper of JEE Main 2026. This will roughly require a percentile score of 97.8 or higher.
If your AIR falls within the top 2,50,000, be prepared for the JEE Advanced 2026 registration process. The registration dates for JEE Advanced will be announced shortly.
What to Do Next After the Results?
Once the results are declared, the following are the crucial next steps for students:
For JEE Advanced 2026 — If your AIR ranks within the top 2,50,000, get ready to register for JEE Advanced. This is the sole pathway for securing admission to the IITs.
For JoSAA Counselling — Participate in JoSAA Counselling to seek admission to NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. Prepare a list of your preferred colleges and branches *before* the Choice Filling process begins.
Use a College Predictor — Utilize a JEE Main College Predictor Tool to determine which NIT or IIIT you are likely to secure admission to, based on your AIR.
