JoSAA 2024 Seat Matrix: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) on Monday started accepting online applications for the JoSAA counselling 2024 process. This year, the authority will conduct the JoSAA 2024 seat allotment process in five rounds.

The JoSAA 2024 seat matrix will provide candidates with the total number of seats available for admission across various JoSAA participating institutes. The JoSAA 2024 seat matrix sees a significant increase in the number of IIT seats.

As per the JoSAA 2024 seat matrix, the total number of seats in IITs is 17740 while the total number of seats in NITs and IIITs are 24229 and 8546 respectively. Candidates who are seeking admission through JoSAA 2024 counselling can check the category-wise JoSAA seat matrix below.

JoSAA Counselling 2024: Required Documents for IITs

Candidates must bring the following documents to their allotted institute. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of candidature:

Class X Mark Sheet/Certificate, Aadhar Card, or Birth Certificate (for Date of Birth)
Class XII Mark Sheet (Qualifying Examination)
Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/GEN-EWS), if applicable. For OBC-NCL/GEN-EWS, the certificate must be issued on or after April 1, 2024
Original Certificate for Persons with Disabilities (PwD)
Crossed Bank Cheque copy or Image of Passbook with bank account details
Medical Certificate (in specified format available on JoSAA 2024 website)
OCI Certificate/PIO Card
Passport/Citizenship Certificate
Original Certificate for persons with less than 40% disability and difficulty in writing

Candidates must upload the following documents for admission:

Class X Mark Sheet/Certificate, Aadhar Card, or Birth Certificate (for Date of Birth)
Class XII Mark Sheet and Certificate (Qualifying Examination)
JEE (Main) 2024 Admit Card
Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/GEN-EWS), if applicable. For OBC-NCL/GEN-EWS, the certificate must be issued on or after April 1, 2024

Original Certificate for persons with less than 40% disability and difficulty in writing

Important Note: Caste certificates (SC/ST/OBC-NCL) issued by Maharashtra State must be validated by the Social Welfare Department (for SC and OBC-NCL) and the Tribal Welfare Department (for ST). SC/ST/OBC-NCL candidates from Maharashtra must produce their caste validity certificate in the format available on the JoSAA 2024 website. ST certificates from Tamil Nadu must be issued by the concerned Revenue Divisional Officer.
