CBSE Class 12 Result 2026: No Result This Week, Confirms Board — Here's the Expected Date

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will release the Class 12 results by the third week of May, a senior official has confirmed.

Students who appeared for the exam can check and download their results from the official website at results.cbse.nic.in. Apart from this, students can also access their results through the UMANG app and DigiLocker. Under the two-board examination system, CBSE has already declared the Class 10 results.

The CBSE Class 12 exams began on February 17 and ended on April 10, 2026. Students were given 3 hours and 15 minutes to complete the paper, and the exam was conducted in a single shift starting at 10:30 am.

To clear the exam, students need a minimum of 33 per cent marks in both theory and practical exams. They also need 33 per cent in individual sections and in the overall aggregate.

CBSE Class 12 Result 2026: Board Denies Evaluation Delays

CBSE Controller of Examinations Sanyam Bhardwaj has rejected reports that flagged technical glitches in the newly introduced On-Screen Marking (OSM) system. He said such claims are "far away from facts" and confirmed that the evaluation process is moving smoothly.

"My evaluation is going very perfectly, better than the previous evaluation," Bhardwaj said. He also pointed out that the Board is "proud" of rolling out the OSM system at full scale this year.

The digital evaluation system, brought in to make checking faster and reduce manual errors, marks a major shift from the traditional paper-based assessment process.

A Look at Last Year's CBSE Class 12 Performance

Last year, in 2025, the CBSE Class 12 results were announced on May 13, with girls outperforming boys. Girls recorded a pass percentage of 91.64 per cent, while boys stood at 85.70 per cent.

The overall pass percentage was 88.39 per cent. Vijayawada led with 99.60 per cent, while Prayagraj recorded the lowest pass percentage at 79.53 per cent.
