CBSE Class 12 Supplementary Exam 2026 on July 28; LOC Submission Now Open
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched the online submission of the List of Candidates (LOC) for the Class 12 Supplementary Examination 2026. The facility is available from today i.e. 30th June. Schools are required to go ahead with the process via the ‘Pariksha Sangam’ portal available on the CBSE website.
However, regular candidates cannot apply individually. In case you are eligible for appearing in the supplementary examination, then you need to contact your school from where you have appeared in the CBSE Class 12 board examination 2026. Your school will submit your name through online mode, and this should be completed by July 8.
According to the notification, the Class 12 Supplementary Examination 2026 is set to be conducted on 28th July 2026.
CBSE Class 12 Supplementary Exam 2026: Who can apply?
The board has specified the three categories of students eligible for application. The following table gives a break-up of these students.

Third compartment students will not have to apply through their schools. They will have to appear as private candidates only and for this, CBSE has already put up a separate notification.
CBSE Class 12 Supplementary Exam 2026: Schools must Submit Every Eligible Name
CBSE has directed all affiliated schools to provide the LOC form of each Compartment candidate whether they could contact him/her or not. The CBSE board has made one point clear that if the name is not provided on time then that particular student cannot take the examination.
Along with this, schools should also make their Compartment candidates aware of their eligibility. Schools should also help those students who want to improve their marks in one particular subject. In other words, it is the responsibility of the board to complete the submission of the LOC form on time.
CBSE Class 12 Supplementary Exam 2026: Eligibility explained
Students who were regular students in 2026 and obtained compartment shall be allowed to apply only in the subject in which they received compartment.
Students who had taken six subjects and received compartment in two can choose either of the two subjects for giving the supplementary examination.
Students who had taken six subjects and passed in them but could not pass in any one subject even after replacement shall take that particular paper under the heading of improvement of performance. But this is possible only if there is an examination for that particular paper.
Passing students in 2026 board examination can also improve their performance in any one subject provided the board conducts the exam for that paper.
CBSE Class 12 Supplementary Exam 2026: Fees and other details
The LOC application process commenced from June 30th and ends on July 8th. The cost of the examination will depend upon the location of the institution.

The consolidated mark sheet will be released by the board only to those students who have been declared compartment for 2026 main examination and clear the Supplementary Examination 2026.
A total of 90 subjects have been provided in the list by CBSE in their notice that candidates can give again. These include nearly all the important subjects offered by the board.
