The main difference between IITs and NITs is how you get in. To join an IIT, you need to pass JEE Advanced with a good score and have at least 75% in your 12th grade. For NITs, scoring well in JEE Mains is enough, making it easier to get into NITs than IITs.
4. Courses Offered
IITs have highly experienced teachers and offer courses like B.Tech, B.Arch, and B.Sc. NITs also offer B.Tech and B.Arch courses, all designed to keep up with the latest technology trends.

5. Infrastructure
IITs focus on research and have many labs where students work on new ideas and solutions. NITs focus more on practical learning, including subjects like economics to help students understand production better.
6. Placements
Both IITs and NITs have strong job placements because of their big alumni networks. Most jobs are in the IT field, but students also get jobs in many other industries.
Conclusion
IIT and NIT are both top choices for engineering students. IIT admissions are more challenging, requiring deeper knowledge, but both institutes provide excellent education and are highly respected. The best choice depends on your goals and eligibility.
