JoSAA Round 5 Result 2026 Today: Check IIT, NIT, IIIT and GFTI Seat Allotment

The JoSAA 2026 Round 5 seat allotment result will be declared today, i.e., on 16th July 2026. Candidates are advised to visit the official website, josaa.nic.in, and know about their seat allotment status.

JoSAA Round 5 is the last seat allotment round for JoSAA counselling 2026. Candidates who have been allotted a seat must report for the same within the provided deadline.

This involves accepting the seat allotted to the candidate, paying fees, uploading relevant documents and answering the query raised by the concerned authority. The candidates can also leave the JoSAA counselling process as per the availability and eligibility criteria.

There will be no further JoSAA seat allotment rounds for admissions into the IITs, NITs, IIITs, and Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs).

Seats that go unallotted after JoSAA Round 5 will be allotted through the CSAB special counselling rounds. CSAB counselling takes care of the vacancies of the NIT+ system mostly.

• Use your JEE Main application number and password to login.
• Enter the information and see the allotment result.
• Find out about the allocated college, program and seat type.
• Download the allocation result for future use.

JoSAA Round 5 Cutoff 2026: Opening and Closing Ranks

Round 5 cut-off ranks shall be declared by JoSAA after the process of seat allocation is completed. These cut-off ranks would be available separately for each IIT, NIT, IIIT, and GFTI.

JoSAA Round 5 Cut off will be determined based on various parameters like the institute, course, seat type, gender quota and seats available.

The candidates can get an idea about the cut-off ranks of the respective institutes and courses by using the opening and closing ranks.

• Go to the eServices page.
• Click on OR-CR 2026 option.
• Select the JoSAA counseling round.
• Select the type of institute and the name of the institute.
• Select the program and seat category.
• Click on the submit option.
• Opening and closing ranks will be displayed on the screen.

Candidates have to choose the correct round, institute, program and category to obtain the required cutoff rank.

What to Do After JoSAA Round 5 Seat Allotment

A candidate who is offered a seat through JoSAA Round 5 should choose the appropriate option for accepting the seat, and provide the required information.

The candidates should also make the payment for seat acceptance, submit all the required documents, and answer all verification questions by July 20, 2026.

For the candidates who have been admitted into the NIT+ program, the payment of the Partial Admission Fee should be made between July 22 and July 24, 2026.

This failure might result in the withdrawal of the seat allotted to the candidates.

CSAB Counselling 2026 for Vacant Seats

The CSAB 2026 special counselling registration procedure is going to start from 28th July 2026.

Counselling will take place at CSAB for vacancies in NITs, IIITs, and other GFTIs participating institutions which will be left after completion of JoSAA counselling.
