The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has announced the JoSAA Counselling 2026 Round 5 seat allotment result today, July 16, 2026. Candidates who participated in the counselling process can check their allotment status on the official website at josaa.nic.in.

Candidates can follow the steps below to check their result and download the allotment letter:

  1. Visit the official JoSAA website at josaa.nic.in.
  2. Go to the “Candidate Activity Board” section on the homepage.
  3. Click on the “View Round 5 Seat Allocation Result for JoSAA 2026” link.
  4. Enter your application number and password.
  5. Submit the login details.
  6. Check the allotted institute and academic programme.
  7. Download and save the seat allotment letter for future use.

Documents Required for JoSAA Counselling 2026

Candidates should keep the following documents ready for the online reporting and admission process:

  • JEE Main 2026 admit card and scorecard
  • JEE Advanced 2026 admit card for admission to IITs
  • Class 10 certificate or birth certificate as proof of date of birth
  • Class 12 marksheet and passing certificate
  • Recent passport-size photographs
  • Valid photo identity proof, such as an Aadhaar card, PAN card, voter ID or passport
  • SC, ST, OBC-NCL or EWS category certificate, if applicable
  • Persons with Disabilities (PwD) certificate, if applicable
  • Provisional seat allotment letter
  • Seat acceptance fee payment receipt
  • Medical certificate
  • Migration certificate
  • Character certificate
  • Domicile certificate, if required
  • Candidate undertaking form
  • Choice-locking printout
  • Bank account proof, such as a cancelled cheque or passbook copy

Candidates should complete the online reporting process before July 20, 2026. They must also keep all the required documents ready to avoid delays or problems during the admission process.
