The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has started the registration process for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) undergraduate counselling 2024 today, August 14. NEET UG 2024 eligible candidates can apply online at mcc.nic.in.

The Round 1 NEET UG registration window will be open from August 14 to August 20, with payment available until 3 pm on August 20.

Choice filling for Round 1 begins on August 16 and ends on August 20 at 11:55 pm. Candidates can lock their choices between 4 pm and 11:55 pm on August 20. The participating institutes and the National Medical Commission (NMC) will verify the tentative seat matrix from August 14 to 15. Seat allotment processing for Round 1 will occur on August 21 and 22, with the results announced on August 23. Candidates must report to their allotted institutes between August 24 and 29.

For Round 2, the seat matrix will be verified from September 4 to 5. Registration will open on September 5 and close at 12 noon on September 10, with payment accepted until 3 pm that day. Choice filling for Round 2 will run from September 6 to September 10 at 11:55 pm, with choice locking available from 4 pm to 11:55 pm on September 10. The Round 2 seat allotment results will be announced on September 13.

The MCC is conducting NEET UG counseling for 15% of the All India Quota (AIQ) seats. This year, the counseling includes four rounds for UG seats under the All India Quotas, deemed institutions, central universities, all AIIMS institutes, and JIPMER (Puducherry and Karaikal). The rounds include the online stray vacancy round, Round 2, and Round 3 of the AIQ.

Step 4: Now fill out the application form and upload the required documents

NEET UG Counselling 2024: Documents required

Candidates must keep the following documents ready before registering for the NEET UG counselling process.

• NEET Admit Card, Rank letter, or scorecard.
• ID Proof (Aadhar, Driving License, Passport, and PAN Card)
• Class 10 and 12 certificates and mark sheet
• Eight passport-size photographs
• Provisional Allotment letter
• Caste certificate or Person with Disabilities (PwD) certificate (if applicable)

NEET UG Counselling 2024: Seat Matrix

The NEET UG Counselling 2024 will cover 1,09,145 MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) seats and 27,868 Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) seats. Additionally, around 1,000 BSc Nursing seats will be allocated through NEET counselling, along with numerous seats in AYUSH and veterinary programs across India.

NEET UG Counselling 2024: Important Dates

The choice filling window for Round 1 will be open from August 16 to August 20, until 11:55 PM. Candidates can lock in their preferences starting at 4 PM on August 20. Seat allotment for Round 1 will be processed between August 21 and August 22, 2024.

The results for the first allotment of Round 1 will be announced on August 23, 2024. Candidates must report to their allotted colleges between August 24 and August 29. Institutes will verify the data of joined candidates, and MCC will share this data between August 30 and August 31, 2024.
