NEET 2024 Seat Allotment: Understanding Security Deposit and Refund
During NEET 2024 counseling, candidates are required to pay a security deposit. Here’s a clear guide on how this works and what you need to know about refunds.
Refunds in Round 1 of NEET Seat Allotment 2024
If a candidate decides to withdraw their admission after the first round of NEET UG Seat Allotment, the security deposit paid during registration will be refunded by MCC. Alternatively, if the candidate accepts the seat allotted in round 1, the security amount will be adjusted against the admission fees of the medical institute.
Refunds in Round 2 of NEET Seat Allotment 2024
For round 2 of NEET seat allotment, the security deposit will be refunded only if MCC fails to allocate a seat to the candidate. However, if the candidate receives a seat in round 2 but chooses not to join the institution or exits the counseling process at this stage, the security deposit will not be refunded. Additionally, refunds won’t apply if there’s incorrect information provided during NEET 2024 registration, or if the candidate fails to submit necessary documents or gets rejected during college reporting.
