The choice filling of NEET UG 2026 Round 1 has been deferred by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). As per the latest notification, choice filling will start from 12 noon on 08 August 2026.

Students who want to get admitted to MBBS, BDS, BSc Nursing, and other NEET-related courses can apply through the official MCC counselling website.

There is no modification in the last date for choice filling as mentioned in the latest notification from the MCC. So, candidates must do choice filling for NEET UG 2026 Round 1 by 13 August 2026.

Why Has MCC Postponed NEET UG 2026 Choice Filling?

Choice filling for NEET UG 2026 Round 1 has been deferred by MCC after issuing a notification by the National Medical Commission (NMC) about PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities).

The NMC notification is dated August 5, 2026. Choice filling timing was rescheduled by MCC based on the new guidelines for PwBD candidates.

As per the NMC notification, the choice filling process for Round 1 was previously set to commence on August 6, 2026. Now it will begin on August 8, 2026 at 12 noon.

Students are advised to frequently check the official website of MCC for details about choice locking, seat allotment, and reporting dates.
