NTA Exam Calendar 2025: How to Check JEE, NEET, CUET Exam Dates

Each year, the National Testing Agency (NTA) releases an exam calendar on its official website. This calendar tells candidates when upcoming entrance tests will be held. The latest calendar includes dates for important exams like the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main, National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate (NEET UG), Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for UG and PG, and the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET).

The dates for the 2024 exams were announced on September 19, 2023. You can find the 2025 exam calendar on nta.ac.in once it is available.

JEE Main is held in two parts and is used for admission to undergraduate courses at National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other technical schools. NEET UG is for admission to undergraduate medical courses across India.

CUET UG and PG are used for admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate programs at central universities and other participating schools. UGC NET checks if you qualify for Assistant Professor positions, Junior Research Fellowships (JRF), and PhD programs.

In 2024, several entrance exams had issues. The UGC NET June exam was canceled due to concerns about its fairness. The exam format was changed from a hybrid model to a computer-based test held on different days. The CSIR UGC NET exam was postponed because of logistical problems but was held in July, and the results are now available.

NEET UG also had problems, with accusations of question paper leaks, fraud, and impersonation. The Supreme Court did not cancel the exam but did order a re-tally of results, which led to updates in the merit list and some candidates getting extra marks.
