BHU UG Admission 2026 via CUET UG (Open): Eligibility, Fees, Documents & How to Apply

BHU has commenced registration for undergraduate admissions for the 2026 academic session. Banaras Hindu University has initiated the sign-up process for its undergraduate courses; the registration portal went live late Thursday night. Candidates can register until 11:59 PM on July 25, 2026.

Following the close of registration, BHU plans to begin the seat allotment rounds within a week. This time, BHU and Samarth have implemented a specialized verification system to ensure that only eligible candidates can register. Ineligible applicants are filtered out at the initial stage to prevent unnecessary delays in the admission process.

BHU has already released its undergraduate admission bulletin and other relevant notifications. Across faculties such as Arts, Social Sciences, Science, and Visual Arts, there are approximately 9,200 seats available across more than a thousand subject combinations. These include seats reserved under various quotas, such as those for the children of BHU employees and international students.

  • NTA scores of your particular BHU UG program

  • Subjects you have studied in 10+2

  • Percentage of marks in 10+2

Documents Required for BHU CAP UG 2026 Registration

Keep these documents ready before you start:

  • Class 10 marksheet
  • Class 12 marksheet
  • CUET scorecard
  • ID proof (Aadhaar, PAN card, etc.)
  • Caste certificate for SC/ST (if applicable)
  • PwD certificate (if applicable)

BHU Admission Through CUET: Key Stages

Here's the full journey from the CUET exam to your final admission:

  1. Register for the CUET 2026 exam at cuet.nta.nic.in
  2. Appear for the CUET UG exam based on the subjects you studied in Class 12
  3. Fill the BHU CAP UG registration form and set your program preferences at bhucuet.samarth.edu.in
  4. Wait for seat allocation and admission
  5. Accept the offer
  6. Upgrade or lock your choice
  7. Receive your admission letter
  8. Pay the fee

1. Register for CUET UG

CUET UG registration 2026 is your first step toward applying to a BHU UG program. Your name, signature, and photograph are pulled directly from your CUET application form. So enter every detail carefully while filling the CUET UG application.

2. Appear for the CUET UG Exam

Make sure you pick the language and domain subjects you actually studied in Class 12. Show up for the exam on the given date and time at your allotted centre. The CUET UG exam is a Computer Based Test (CBT), so you'll take it at the centre assigned to you. Follow all the exam-day rules to avoid disqualification.

3. Fill the BHU CAP UG Registration Form

Before you start, keep scanned copies of all your documents on your laptop or desktop. You'll also need your NTA CUET UG application number and password to open the BHU admission form.

Here are the documents you'll need to upload:

  • Passport-size photograph (JPEG or PDF)
  • Signature (JPEG or PDF)
  • Class 10 marksheet (JPEG or PDF)
  • Class 12 marksheet (JPEG or PDF)
  • Birth certificate (JPEG or PDF)
  • Other relevant documents, such as caste, income, TC, and CC

You'll also need to enter these details in the BHU registration form:

  • Your date of birth
  • Gender
  • Caste (if applicable)
  • The UG program you want, which must match the one in your NTA CUET 2026 application

Double-check everything before you submit. After the final preview, pay the registration fee. You can pay using any of these options:

  • Net banking
  • Debit card
  • Credit card
  • UPI

Just one quick tip for you: always choose the BHU regular seat choice before choosing the paid seat choice for that particular course. Once you choose a paid seat when you could have obtained a regular seat based on your merit, you will obtain the paid seat. The allotment procedure is done according to your choice and merit, thus leaving you completely accountable.

Steps to fill the CUET BHU UG admission 2026 form:

  1. Visit the official BHU counselling link: bhucuet.samarth.edu.in
  2. Register by providing your applicant details, educational details, and programme selection
  3. Upload your photo and signature
  4. Upload your documents
  5. Enter your bank account details
  6. Review and confirm all details
  7. Pay the application fee

CUET BHU 2026 Application Fee

Category Fee
General / OBC / EWS Rs. 500
SC / ST / PwD Rs. 250
Paid seats (all categories) Rs. 700 (all programs)

Upon completion of the payment process, the course preference page appears. Provide your preferences regarding courses and colleges and then print your application form.

4. Seat Allocation and Admissions

Based on your normalized CUET UG score, BHU calculates your merit according to each program's eligibility criteria. If you do not submit the documents required for caste-based reservation, you will not qualify for admission in any BHU UG seat. Considering your preferences and vacancies in BHU, the process allocates your seats.

5. Acceptance of Offer

In case you get the offer in the first allotment process, you have to accept it and pay the commitment fee of Rs. 2,500 (Rs. 500 for SC/ST candidates) online. You are required to pay the fee before 6 PM on the very next day after publication of BHU UG Merit List. In case you miss it, your admission process is canceled permanently.

After the acceptance of your offer, the online verification of your documents is done by BHU. In case you are declared ineligible, your offer will be withdrawn.

6. Upgrade/Lock your Offer

If you have paid the commitment fee and your documents have been verified successfully, you can lock the allotment if you are satisfied with it. However, if you would like to wait until your higher preferences are available, you can keep your offer open for floating/upgrade.

7. Collect Your Provisional Admission Offer

After you secure your provisional admission, please visit the counseling center on the very next day to get your admission offer letter from the admission office. The letter contains all the important information such as admission fee along with its due date. Please maintain it.

8. Pay Your Fee

Upon getting admission offer letter, pay the rest of the fees using the link on your dashboard. The excess amount paid by you will be refunded to your account. After paying your fees, please attend at your faculty or department as assigned in your admission letter.
