CBSE 10th Board Result 2026 Updates: 6.68 Lakh Await Improvement & Compartment Results
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is likely to announce the Class 10 second-board exam results at the end of June. This is the first time when the CBSE conducted the Class 10 improvement exam. It was conducted from May 15 to May 21, 2026, following the announcement of the results of the February session. After releasing the results, candidates can check their results at cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in, and cbseresults.nic.in.
For checking their results, candidates can visit the official website and click on results. Then, they have to click on the 'Class 10 second-exam results' link. Thereafter, they need to enter their board roll number, registration number, and date of birth in the login section and hit submit. Their result will be displayed on the screen.
In addition to the official websites, candidates can also see their result on the DigiLocker portal and UMANG mobile application. The scorecard includes name of the candidate, board roll number, class, date of birth, name of the father, marks in all subjects, aggregate marks, and passing status.
As per official figures, there were 6,68,854 candidates who applied for second board exam. Out of these 5,25,655 candidates applied only for improvement. Whereas 85,285 candidates applied for compartment exam. Around 57,914 candidates applied for both of them. Of these 4,74,491 students opted for science as their most liked subject for the compartment exam.
This year, CBSE has started the two board exam system. This policy provides more chances for the students to improve their performance and marks. As per this policy, those students who are not satisfied with their marks can have another chance to perform better.

Students can follow the steps below to access their Class 10 second board exam result:
Step 1: Visit the official website – cbseresults.nic.in.
Step 2: On the homepage click on the Class 10 result link.
Step 3: Log-in using credentials such as registration number and date of birth. Click ‘Submit’.
Step 4: The result will be displayed on the screen.
Step 5: Download and save the CBSE Class 10 result for future use.
