JEE Advanced 2026 Registration Starts April 23 - Eligibility, Fee, Documents & Step-by-Step Guide
The wait is over for JEE Advanced 2026 candidates. The registration process will commence on April 23, 2026, at 10:00 AM on the official website, jeeadv.ac.in. This year, JEE Advanced is being conducted by IIT Roorkee.
The examination is scheduled for May 17, 2026. If you have qualified in JEE Main 2026, here are all the things you need to know before registering.

JEE Advanced Registration 2026:: Who Is Eligible?
For Indian Candidates —
For Indian candidates, it is mandatory to secure a rank among the top 250,000 rank holders in the JEE Main 2026 B.E./B.Tech paper. However, international students are not required to appear for JEE Main and may apply directly for JEE Advanced, subject to fulfilling other eligibility criteria.
Candidates must have been born on or after October 1, 2001; a relaxation of five years is applicable for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories. Additionally, candidates are permitted to attempt the JEE Advanced examination a maximum of two times in two consecutive years.
They must have appeared for their Class 12 (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either 2025 or 2026, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Candidates who have already secured admission to any IIT under the programs listed in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) Business Rules 2025 are not eligible to apply.
For International Candidates —
International students don't need to appear for JEE Main. They can directly apply for JEE Advanced, subject to fulfilling other eligibility conditions.

Exam Pattern — What to Expect
JEE Advanced 2026 will be conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT). It consists of two compulsory papers — Paper 1 and Paper 2. Both papers are mandatory. Each paper covers three sections — Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
The papers will be available in both English and Hindi. Each paper is 3 hours long. PwD candidates opting for compensatory time will get 4 hours per paper.
Admit Card Details
IIT Roorkee will next release the JEE Advanced 2026 admit cards. The admit card will be available for download from 5 pm on May 11, 2026, until 2:30 pm on May 17, 2026. It will include key details such as the candidate’s name, JEE Advanced roll number, JEE Main application number, photograph, date of birth, category, and signature.
Candidates are advised to carefully verify all details and report any discrepancies to the respective zonal IIT authorities immediately.
Key Things to Keep Ready Before Registering
Before you start your registration on April 23, keep these things ready — your JEE Main 2026 Application Number and Password, your Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets, a recent passport-size photograph, your signature image, your category certificate if applicable, and your valid ID proof.
