The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main 2025) results for 23 candidates whose results were earlier withheld due to identity verification issues.
These 23 candidates can now download their scorecards from the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates can read the full notice here. Candidates can check their results here.

According to the NTA, discrepancies were found in the photo, biometric data and personal details of these candidates. Due to this, their results were not released. However, after successful verification of all the required documents, their results have now been declared.
JEE Main 2025 Withheld Results Declared: How to Check
Candidates whose results were withheld and released later can follow these steps to check their scorecard:
Step 1. Visit the official JEE Main website jeemain.nta.nic.in.
Step 2. Click on the link “JEE Main 2025 Result – Session 2 (Paper 1)”.
Step 3. Log in using your application number, password and security pin.
Step 4. The scorecard will appear on the screen.
Step 5. Download and print the scorecard for further use.
JEE Main 2025 results withheld: Why this step was taken?
According to the NTA, some candidates who failed to submit valid documents have been issued show cause notices. Their results have been withheld, and appropriate action will be taken against them. The agency reiterated that strict measures have been taken to prevent malpractices during national-level entrance exams.
Earlier, the NTA had withheld the results of the following:
- 39 candidates accused of using unfair means in Session 1.
- 110 candidates accused of document forgery and other violations in Session 2.
- Dismissal proceedings were put on hold for 23 candidates due to biometric or photo discrepancies (now resolved for compliant candidates).
- Candidates who were asked to submit attested photographs and supporting identity proofs were given a deadline. Results of candidates who did so within the stipulated deadline have now been declared.
JEE Main 2025 withheld results released: What next?
These candidates can now apply for admission to NITs, IIITs, GFTIs using their JEE Main scores. The JoSAA counselling process will begin soon, in which they can now participate fully.
