Students who are allotted seats in the first round must accept their seats by uploading all required documents, including educational and caste certificates, if applicable. They must also pay the seat acceptance fee by the due date and print the final locked choices for submission during reporting.
Students can withdraw their seats from the second round up to the fifth round of seat allocation, before the last round of seat allocation.
Provisional Offer Of Seat And Its Confirmation
- Candidates must log in to the portal to check if a seat is allocated. No separate intimation will be given. Failing to complete "Online Reporting" within the specified timeline will result in the cancellation of the allocated seat, and the candidate will not be able to participate in subsequent rounds.
- Candidates allocated a seat should download the "Initial Seat Allotment Intimation Slip" which contains information about the seat allotment and steps for confirmation.
- The seat acceptance fee is Rs 17,500 for SC, ST, GEN-PwD, GEN-EWS-PwD, OBC-NCL-PwD, SC-PwD, or ST-PwD candidates, and Rs 35,000 for all other candidates (including Rs 5,000 processing charges). This fee, excluding the Rs 5,000 processing charges, will be adjusted against the admission fee.
- If any query is raised during document verification, the candidate must respond online through the candidate portal within the stipulated time. Failure to respond will lead to cancellation of the allotted seat, and the candidate will not be able to participate in subsequent rounds.
Verification of Seat Allotment
- If a candidate accepts a seat in the NIT+ System by "Online Reporting" and is subsequently allocated a seat in an IIT in further rounds, the documents and eligibility criteria will be re-verified by the IITs.
- Seat allocation in an IIT in subsequent rounds automatically replaces the earlier accepted seat in the NIT+ System. The candidate does not need to cancel the earlier seat; doing so would be treated as a rejection, and the candidate would be excluded from the process.
- JEE (Advanced) 2024 qualified PwD candidates with a valid UDID card indicating permanent disability are not required to report physically for verification unless online verification fails.
- JEE (Main) 2024 qualified PwD candidates with a valid UDID card indicating permanent disability must appear for physical verification if online verification fails or if they were allotted a seat in an academic program with special restrictions.
JoSAA's second mock allotment list will be displayed on June 17 based on choices filled by students up to June 16 at 5 pm.
