The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will release the JoSAA 2024 seat allotment results online. Candidates can check their results using their application number and password. The results will be available on josaa.admissions.nic.in after the JoSAA 2024 counselling concludes. The counselling started on June 10, 2024. This page will be updated with the result link once it's released.

JoSAA Seat Allocation 2024 - Mock Round
The JoSAA mock round allocation 2024 will be conducted online. Candidates should fill in as many choices as possible and lock their choices before the deadline. If choices are not locked, the last saved choices will be used automatically. During seat allocation, candidates will be categorized as follows:
- GEN
- GEN PwD
- OBC-NCL
- OBC-NCL PwD
- SC
- SC PwD
- ST
- ST PwD

JoSAA 2024 Seat Allotment Process
JoSAA will conduct five rounds of seat allocation based on merit, category, preferences, and seat availability. Candidates allotted seats must download their provisional seat allotment letter and e-challan to pay the seat acceptance fee. Steps to download the allotment letter:
- Visit the JoSAA official website.
- Click on the seat allotment link.
- Log in using JEE Main roll number and password.
- Click "Submit".
- Download the provisional JoSAA 2024 seat allotment letter.
- Print the allotment letter.

What to Do After JoSAA Seat Allocation 2024?
Candidates have three options after seat allocation:
- Freeze: Accept the seat and exit the counselling process.
- Float: Accept the seat but remain open to other options in future rounds.
- Slide: Accept the seat and be open to higher preferred courses in the same institute.
New Guidelines for Seat Acceptance Fee
- Candidates can pay the seat acceptance fee directly on the JoSAA website using e-challan or SBI Net Banking.
- Pre-payment of the seat acceptance fee is available from the start of choice filling until the last date of fee payment for the final round (June 14 to July 22, 2024).
The JoSAA counselling fee will be adjusted against the institute's admission fee. The seat acceptance fee is as follows:

Can a Candidate Withdraw a Seat After Accepting It?
Yes, candidates can withdraw a seat before the last round of JoSAA seat allocation. The counselling fees will be refunded after deducting Rs. 1500 as processing charges. Withdrawal is not allowed after the final round.
Steps to Withdraw a Seat
- Visit the JoSAA portal.
- Fill in the account details for the refund.
- Upload an image of a canceled cheque in JPG format.
- Download the withdrawal request letter.
- Sign the letter along with a parent and report to a reporting center.
Dual Reporting for Document Verification
If a candidate has chosen a float option while accepting the seat allotted in an IIT in one round and in an NIT/IIIT/GFTI in a subsequent round, then he or she will be required to report to the institute again for document verification.
Similarly, if a candidate is allocated a seat in an NIT/IIEST/IIIT (Triple-I-T) or Other-GFTI in one round and in an IIT in a subsequent round, then he or she will be required to report at the institute again for document verification.
Note: If candidates fail to report again for document verification, then the allotted seats will be rejected. Also, a candidate will not be allowed to participate in further rounds of seat allotment.

Students need to follow the below-mentioned steps to check the JoSAA seat allotment result:
- Visit the official website i.e. josaa.nic.in.
- Click on the “View Seat Allotment Result” link.
- Enter JEE Main/JEE Advanced 2024 application number, password and security pin.
- Click on “Login”.
- JoSAA 2024 seat allotment results will be displayed on the screen.
- Download the allotment letter and take a printout.
