The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the NEET UG 2024 retest results today, July 1. This retest was held for 1,563 candidates, and the students who appeared can now check their scores on the official website: exams.nta.ac.in/NEET.
The final answer key for the NEET UG retest was released on June 30 at around 1:30 PM. NTA conducted the retest for 1,563 candidates who were initially given grace marks due to lost exam time. Out of these candidates, 813 appeared for the retest. The retest was held in the same six cities but at different centers.
Among the 813 candidates, none scored a perfect 720/720, reducing the toppers' tally from 67 to 61. Five of the six candidates who previously scored 720/720 appeared for the retest on June 23 and achieved high scores above 680.

Data shows that none of the two candidates from Chandigarh appeared for the exam. From Chhattisgarh, 291 out of 602 students appeared; from Gujarat, one student; from Haryana, 287 out of 494 students; and from Meghalaya's Tura, 234 students appeared.
Affected students had the option to either keep their original scores, without grace marks, or appear for the retest. Those who took the retest on June 23 will receive revised scores. Students who skipped the retest will be awarded their original scores, without the grace marks.
Several other petitions regarding the NEET UG 2024 results are pending in the Supreme Court and are scheduled to be heard on July 8.
