DU UG Admission 2026: Over 1.9 Lakh Applications Received, First Allotment List on July 16

Over 1.9 lakh students have applied for undergraduate admissions at Delhi University for the year 2026-27 session. Officials from the university have confirmed that even more than 1.64 lakh candidates have filled out their preferences as well.

As per the university, 1,90,645 candidates have applied for DU UG admission via the Common Seat Allocation System or CSAS.

Among them, 1,64,098 candidates have finished the second phase of admission process. It is the phase where candidates choose their favorite undergraduate programs and colleges.

Preference filling process will be available till 11:59 PM on Saturday, July 11.

DU UG Admission 2026 Correction Window Open Until July 11

One-time correction facility has been provided by Delhi University to registered candidates as well. It is available since Friday at 10 am and would continue till 11:59 pm on Saturday.

Candidates can take advantage of this correction window to rectify any mistakes made in the data entered on the DU CSAS website.

According to the officials, the correction facility was offered as many students reported mistakes in their application forms.

The registration process for DU undergraduate programs began on June 26 and would continue till 11:59 pm on Saturday.

Phase 2 of admission process began on July 3. In this phase, candidates have to map their subjects and also declare their program and college preferences.

At a webinar recently held by the university, it was suggested to candidates to carefully examine their subject mapping and preferences before filing the form.

DU UG Courses and Seats Available

At Delhi University, there will be admissions to 73 UG courses across 69 colleges/branches.

A total of 71,624 UG seats have been offered for the 2026-27 batch.

There are also 150 combinations offered in BA programs at the University. The detailed seat matrix of DU UG can be seen from the university website.

Candidates must check the order of their preferences for colleges/courses before the submission deadline. After that, any change will not be possible as the preferences will get locked automatically.

Supernumerary category admissions like sports, etc., will also be done based on the preferences given by the candidate.

DU First Seat Allotment List 2026 on July 16

The first seat allocation list for Undergraduate programmes at Delhi University would be out on July 16th.

Those students allotted a seat should accept the same and make the admission fee payment within the stipulated period.

Once the fee has been paid, the students can choose to freeze their admission or go in for an upgrade.

The students who opt for the upgrade would be permitted to re-order their higher preferences prior to the second round.

The university has even come up with the concept of virtual wallet for making fee payments for admissions.

As per this concept, those students upgraded to another programme or college need not make the complete fee payment again. It would be automatically adjusted based on what was paid earlier.

Delhi University is set to conclude two rounds of Undergraduate admissions before the commencement of the new academic session starting from July 28th.

DU PG Third Allocation List Released

The third allocation list has also been announced by Delhi University for two years of postgraduate studies.

This list consists of regular PG programs and performance-based programs like MFA, B.P.Ed, M.P.Ed, and Music.

The third PG allocation list was announced on July 10.

There are 1,765 fresh seat allocations made in this process; out of which, there are 1,551 allocations for regular PG program, and 214 are for performance-based programs.

Till now, a total of 5,848 candidates have frozen their PG seat allotments.

Those students who have got seat allotment in this third round can freeze their seats till Saturday 11:59 pm.

Over 8,800 Register for One-Year PG Programmes

According to the varsity, 8,823 candidates have registered for the one year postgraduate courses.

This course is meant for students who have already graduated from four years undergraduate courses under the UCF 2022.

UCF was put in place in accordance with the National Education Policy 2020.

On the other hand, the second allocation list for DU BTech admissions has been made live.

In addition to this, the first spot admission for the five years integrated law programme has been announced.

There are 18 vacant seats for the law programme. Admissions will be provided on the basis of merit.
