JNU Admission Through CUET UG 2026 Scores

Admission to JNU’s notified undergraduate and Certificate of Proficiency programmes will be granted through CUET UG 2026 scores.

The university will prepare programme-wise merit lists based on candidates’ CUET performance, category, eligibility and seat availability.

Simply appearing for CUET UG doesn’t guarantee admission to JNU. Candidates must also complete the university’s separate admission registration process before the deadline.

Applicants who fail to register on the JNU admission portal by July 22, 2026, may not be considered for seat allocation, even if they have a valid CUET UG score.

JNU Merit List and Seat Allotment Process

After the registration process closes, JNU will verify the applications and prepare the first merit list.

Candidates selected in the merit list will have to complete pre-enrolment registration, pay the admission fee and block their allotted seats within the prescribed period.

They may also be required to report for physical document verification according to the university’s schedule.

If seats remain vacant after the first round, JNU will release additional merit lists. A final admission call may also be issued against vacant seats in August 2026.

Candidates who don’t complete the fee payment or document verification within the given deadline may lose their allotted seats.

Advice for JNU UG Applicants

Candidates should complete the application process well before the deadline instead of waiting until July 22.

They must carefully check all information before submitting the form and keep copies of the application form, confirmation page and fee receipt.

The candidates must also keep visiting the official website and the admission portal of JNU regarding the correction window, merit list, seat allotment, payment of fees, and verification process.

Information provided officially through JNU portals will be taken as the final one.
