The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is going to release the Round 1 seat allotment list on June 14, 2025. Candidates who are participating in JoSAA counselling 2025 will be able to check their allotment result by logging in with their JEE Main or JEE Advanced credentials at josaa.nic.in.

The JoSAA counselling process is conducted for admission to various courses including B.Tech in the country's premier technical institutes—IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. The process allows candidates to get seat allotment and reporting from a single portal.

How many total seats are available in JoSAA 2025?

A total of 62,853 seats are available under JoSAA counselling this year. The institute-wise seats are as follows:

IITs: 18,160 seats
NITs: 24,525 seats
IIITs: 9,940 seats
GFTIs: 10,228 seats

These seats are for UG technical courses across all participating institutes.

What to do after seat allotment?

When the result of Round 1 is declared on June 14, 2025, candidates who have got a seat will have to compulsorily report online. This process includes the following steps:

Payment of seat acceptance fee
Uploading documents
Answering questions asked by the verification authority

The window for online reporting will be open from June 14 to June 18, 2025.

Payment and verification deadlines

Last date for seat acceptance fee payment: June 18, 2025
Resolution of payment issues: June 19, 2025
Last date for answering queries (if any): June 20, 2025

Missing any of these deadlines may result in cancellation of your seat, so it is very important to complete all the processes on time.

When will JoSAA counselling round 2 be held?

The seat allotment result for Round 2 will be released on June 21, 2025. Thereafter, other rounds will continue as per the schedule. Students are advised to keep checking the JoSAA website for regular updates.
