The choice filling and locking process of JoSAA counselling 2025 will close today, June 12, at 5 PM. Candidates who have not been able to register or have not finalized their choice list yet must complete the process today itself. This is a crucial step, missing which may result in the candidate being out of the seat allocation process.

It is important to lock the choices given during choice filling. If the candidate does not lock his/her choice list, the final saved choices will be automatically locked and seat allocation will be done based on them.

Note:

Merely “saving” does not mean locking.
Saved choices can be changed later, but no changes are possible in locked choices.
Therefore, one must check all the choices thoroughly before final locking.

Mock seat allotment 1 and 2 for JoSAA counselling 2025 have been released on June 9 and June 11 respectively. This has given students an idea of which college they can get a seat in as per their choice list.

On the homepage, click on the ‘JoSAA Counselling 2025 Registration’ link.
Register by providing the required credentials.
Log in to your account.
Fill out the application form and pay the required fee.
Submit the application.
Candidates need to download and print the confirmation page for future reference.

How to Check Seat Allotment?

Candidates can visit the official website of JoSAA and log in with their JEE Main 2025 application number and password. If the seat is allotted, the candidate will have to download the "Initial Seat Allotment Letter" which will contain all the information.

No information will be given in person during JoSAA counselling. The candidate will have to log in to the portal himself to check whether the seat is allotted or not.

What Happens Next?

After choice filling and locking, the first seat allotment result of JoSAA 2025 will be released on June 14. Candidates who complete the process on time will be allotted a seat. Seat allotment will be done on the basis of rank, category and choices filled.
