NEET 2024 Results: 2,321 Candidates Score 700+ Marks, Reports MoE

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the city and center-wise results for the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) 2024, following the Supreme Court's instructions. According to the Ministry of Education (MoE), 23.33 lakh candidates took the NEET 2024 exam, with 2,321 candidates scoring 700 marks or more.

High Scorers Distributed Across Numerous Centers

The NEET 2024 top scorers were spread across 1,404 examination centers in 276 cities and 25 states, including international locations. The Supreme Court will continue hearing petitions on July 22 regarding the exam's cancellation, re-exam, and a court-supervised investigation into alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG 2024 exam, held on May 5.

Sikar Centers Excel with High Scores

In Rajasthan's Sikar, more than 75 candidates from each center scored above 600, with some centers reporting up to 150 high scorers. The average number of candidates scoring above 600 in Sikar exceeds the national average. Traditional hubs like Sikar, Kota, and Kottayam saw many students scoring 700 or more marks, but students from other cities also performed well.

The MoE press release highlighted the distribution of top scorers:

• 35 students from Lucknow
• 27 from Kolkata
• 25 from Latur
• 20 from Nagpur
• 19 from Faridabad
• 18 from Nanded
• 17 from Indore
• 16 each from Cuttack and Kanpur
• 14 each from Kolhapur, Noida, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar
• 13 each from Agra and Aligarh
• 10 each from Akola and Patiala
• 8 from Davangere
• 7 from Banaskantha

Marks-Wise Distribution of NEET 2024 Results

According to the MoE, the NEET 2024 results showed a similar distribution across other marks ranges:

• 650 to 699 Marks: Candidates spread across 509 cities and 4,044 centers.
• 600 to 649 Marks: Candidates distributed across 540 cities and 4,484 centers.
• 550 to 599 Marks: Candidates present in 548 cities and 4,563 centers.

Rank-Wise Distribution of NEET 2024 Results

The rank-wise distribution of NEET 2024 results is as follows:

• Ranks 1 to 100: Candidates across 56 cities and 95 centers.
• Ranks 101 to 1000: Candidates across 187 cities and 706 centers.
• Ranks 1001 to 10000: Candidates across 431 cities and 2,959 centers.
• Ranks 10001 to 50000: Candidates across 523 cities and 4,283 centers.
• Ranks 50001 to 110000: Candidates across 546 cities and 4,542 centers.
• Ranks 110001 to 150000: Candidates across 539 cities and 4,470 centers.

Comparison with NEET 2023 Results

The MoE noted that the distribution of NEET 2023 top scorers was somewhat lower compared to NEET 2024:

• 700 to 720 Marks (NEET 2023): Spread across 116 cities and 310 centers.
• 650 to 699 Marks (NEET 2023): Spread across 381 cities and 2,431 centers.
• 600 to 649 Marks (NEET 2023): Present in 464 cities and 3,434 centers.
