NEET 2024 Retest Scorecards Expected on June 30; Updates and Details

The NEET UG retest scorecards are expected to be released on June 30. The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the re-examination on June 23 for 1,563 candidates who previously received grace marks due to time loss. However, only 813 candidates, representing 52%, participated in the retest last Sunday. The remaining 48% opted to retain their original scores without grace marks.
At the Chandigarh center, two registered candidates did not attend the re-exam. In Jhajjar, which gained attention for producing several top rankers, 287 out of 494 candidates appeared for the retest.
The re-examination was attended by 291 candidates in Chhattisgarh, one in Gujarat, and 234 in Meghalaya.
Steps to Download NEET UG 2024 Re-Exam Results:
- Visit the official website: exams.nta.ac.in/NEET.
- On the homepage, click on the NEET UG results link.
- Enter login credentials like registration number and date of birth.
- Submit the details.
- Your result will be displayed on the screen.
- Download and print the result for future reference.
The NEET UG exam 2024 took place on May 5, with over 24 lakh candidates participating. Initial results were declared on June 4, revealing 67 students achieving a perfect score of 720, a record number. Six perfect scorers hailed from a center in Faridabad, prompting suspicions of irregularities.
The NEET-UG 2024 exam faces scrutiny due to reported paper leaks and irregularities like cheating and impersonation. The Ministry of Education has referred the matter to the CBI for a thorough investigation. Additionally, the government has enacted the Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024, and formed a high-level committee to oversee exam transparency and recommend improvements in examination processes, data security, and NTA operations.
