In Chandigarh, none of the two registered candidates appeared for the retest. Meanwhile, in Jhajjar, which was closely monitored due to several high-ranking candidates, 287 out of 494 candidates participated in the retest.

According to a senior NTA official, "Overall, the attendance for Sunday’s retest was 52%. Specifically, 291 candidates appeared in Chhattisgarh, one in Gujarat, 287 in Haryana, and 234 in Meghalaya."

Additionally, 750 students opted out of the NEET-UG retest following the addition of grace marks, while 813 appeared as per the Supreme Court's directive. The NTA conducted the retest at seven centers.

The NEET exam debacle caused significant distress and financial loss to aspirants, with NTA's management issues resulting in multiple exam postponements. Candidates across different regions experienced uncertainty and frustration due to frequent changes in exam schedules. The removal of NTA's director-general Subodh Singh further exacerbated the crisis.

Concerned parents from Gujarat, including doctors, are worried about their children's future amidst the NEET exam controversy. They are exploring legal avenues and supporting efforts to prevent another round of retesting.
