NEET UG Counselling 2024: MCC Releases Important Notice on Dates

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) announced on July 6 that the NEET UG 2024 counselling schedule is still pending.

MCC usually releases the NEET UG and PG counselling schedule after the exams are over and the National Medical Commission (NMC) finalizes the seat matrix. In previous years, UG counselling started on January 19, 2022, October 11, 2022, and July 20, 2023.

For 2024, the NMC will finalize the UG seat matrix by the third week of July and the PG seat matrix by mid-August. After that, MCC will announce the counselling schedule.

The NEET UG all-India quota (AIQ) seat counselling was supposed to start on July 6. This update comes after the Supreme Court decided not to delay the NEET UG counselling.

In the meantime, the Supreme Court, led by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud and Justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Misra, will hear several NEET UG 2024 cases on July 8. Petitioners have raised concerns about paper leaks, requested the exam's cancellation and reconduction, and called for an investigation into the National Testing Agency (NTA).
