The Supreme Court is set to discuss issues surrounding the NEET UG 2024 results on July 8. Following the announcement of results on July 4, many students and others raised concerns about giving extra marks to 1563 students due to exam interruptions.

Various groups have approached the court with different demands. Some say there was a leak of exam papers. Others want the entire exam cancelled and done over. Some are asking for an investigation into how the National Testing Agency (NTA) handled things.

The government told the Supreme Court it's against redoing the entire NEET UG exam. They argue that cancelling it would unfairly affect the many honest students who took the test this year.

On July 1, NTA re-evaluated 813 of the 1563 students who got extra marks. The new scores meant there were fewer top scorers—67 down to 61. Six students who originally got perfect scores of 720/720 didn't get the same high score in the re-evaluation, though their scores were still above 680.
