Government Response
Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan addressed reporters on Friday, stating that NEET was conducted satisfactorily across most centers, except for issues in six out of roughly 4,500 centers. He denied the paper leak allegations but assured that, if proven true, strict action would be taken. "Every aspect is being examined. Accountability will be fixed, and action will be taken if lapses are found. The government is committed to protecting NEET examinees' interests, ensuring fairness and equity," Pradhan said.

The Bihar EOU's Special Investigation Team (SIT), which took over the probe from Patna police, has made significant progress. The SIT seized admit cards, post-dated cheques, and certificates from members of an “organized inter-state gang.” They are working to establish corroborative evidence on how the question and answer sheets reached the examination centers.

They also found evidence of burnt question papers at a center, but this alone is insufficient to confirm a paper leak.
