CBSE 10th Result 2026: KVs Record 99.57% Pass Rate - Near Perfect Percentage 8 Years Running

When CBSE declared the Class 10 Result 2026 with an overall pass percentage of 93.70%, one institution stood clearly above the rest — Kendriya Vidyalayas (KV). The 1,254 schools under Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) recorded a remarkable 99.57% pass percentage this year.

What makes this even more impressive is that it is part of an eight-year-long saga of nearly perfect results.

A New Peak — Highest in a Non-Pandemic Year

The figure of 99.57% for 2026 represents KV's highest-ever pass percentage in non-pandemic years. It surpasses the figures recorded in 2019 (99.47%) and 2025 (99.45%) by a very narrow margin. To put this in proper perspective: while approximately 1.47 lakh students across India have been placed in the 'Compartment' category, the proportion of KV students falling into this category is negligibly low.

8 Years of Near-Perfect Performance — Year-Wise Data

This graph presents a clear picture. With the exception of 2021—when the CBSE declared results based on internal assessments during the pandemic—KV schools have consistently remained within the 96–100% range, while the national average has hovered between 91% and 94%.

The only distinct decline was observed in 2022 (96.61%) and 2023 (98.00)—years when board examinations reverted entirely to an offline mode following the disruptions caused by the pandemic. However, by 2024, KV schools had regained their former standing, surpassing the 99% mark, and in 2026, they have reached an all-time high.
