NEET UG 2024 Counselling: Centre Requests Colleges to Update Seat Information

The Ministry of Health issued a notice on Tuesday about NEET UG counselling. All colleges must share their seat information and upload details on the portal by July 20.

The official notification states: "Institutes participating in UG Counselling 2024 are hereby informed that the intramcc portal for contribution of UG seats is open now. Hence, institutes are requested to start entering their seats on the portal at the earliest so that the process of seat contribution can be completed timely."

The user ID and password for the portal are the same as last year. If you forgot your password, use the 'Forgot Password' option to reset it.

The Centre plans to start NEET-UG counselling in the third week of July, in four phases. The NEET-UG 2024 counselling will be conducted in four rounds, starting from the third week of July. This process is the final stage for admissions to medical colleges.

Counselling Process

An All India Merit List of qualified candidates will be prepared based on the All India Rank in the NEET (UG) - 2024 Merit List. Candidates will be admitted to undergraduate medical courses from this list only, following the existing reservation policy. The NTA will provide the All India Rank, while Admitting Authorities will invite applications for counselling and draw a merit list based on the All India Rank. Admission to undergraduate medical courses within respective categories will be based solely on the All India Rank as per the NEET (UG) - 2024 merit list.
