CBSE Second Board Exam Admit Card 2026 Out : Class 10 Students Check Exam Date and Download Steps
The Central Board of Secondary Education has released the CBSE Second Board Exam Admit Card 2026 for Class 10 students. Schools can now download the hall tickets from the official website, cbse.gov.in. Students appearing for the second phase exam must collect their admit cards from their respective schools.

This is the first time CBSE is conducting Class 10 board exams in two phases. The change follows the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 guidelines. The aim is to reduce exam pressure and give students a chance to improve their scores.
CBSE Class 10 Phase 2 Exam Date 2026
The CBSE Class 10 Phase 2 exams will run from May 15 to May 22, 2026, with Mathematics on May 15, Science on May 19, and Social Science on May 22. The board has shared the full date sheet on its official website.
Around 6.68 lakh students have registered for the second board exam. Of these, over 5.25 lakh applied to improve their scores, about 85,000 fall under the compartment category, and nearly 58,000 opted for both improvement and compartment.
Who Can Appear for the CBSE Second Board Exam 2026
Social Science is scheduled for May 22, 2026.
Students can re-appear in up to three subjects. They can choose from Mathematics, Science, Social Science, or languages. Students cannot change subjects. They can only re-take papers they had attempted in the first exam. Internal assessment marks cannot be improved.
Students under the Essential Repeat (ER) category are not eligible. Those who were absent in three or more subjects in the main exam also cannot apply.
How to Download CBSE Second Board Exam Admit Card 2026
Regular students cannot download the admit card on their own. Their schools handle the process. Private candidates, however, can download it directly from the CBSE website.
